Renee Peers, Creative Director
Renee founded The Generous Host (along with her mother) in March 2014. She is a freelance writer for the popular website adoption.com. Her work will be featured on dozens of infertility and adoption websites over the next several months.
She has 10+ years experience in planning parties and events. Renee realized her entrepreneurial spirit at an early age. She has always been inspired by the legacy left by her great grandfather who owned and operated a successful bakery many years ago.
After graduating high school, Renee received a certificate in Business Office Skills from The Academy of Learning College and then graduated from the Self-Employment Benefit Program offered through the Small Business Centre. In 2005, Renee launched her first business (That’s Thoughtful), a personalized greeting card/mailing company that assisted businesses with building relationships with their clients.
After that Renee studied Counselling/Psychology at Emmanuel Bible College. For five years Renee worked as a Youth & Congregational Life Director. Some of the highlights included hosting Youth Mission Retreats, Women’s Dinner Parties, and Food Bank Collection Drives
